EU Scholarship Programme for Turkish Cypriots
In line with the objectives of bringing the Turkish Cypriot community closer to the European Union, the European Commission awards scholarship grants to Turkish Cypriot students, graduates and professionals to offer them additional educational opportunities by raising their knowledge and/or increasing their skills in a specific field; and broaden the experience of studying in the European Union thus bringing them closer to the European Union.
Scholarships offered:
Different types of scholarships are awarded for studying an undergraduate course, or a postgraduate course, or a short term programme of study, research or training in an EU Member State.
Type A: Scholarships for one academic year of an undergraduate programme of study.
Type B: Scholarships for one academic year of post-graduate study (Master’s or PhD or
Postdoctoral programmes).
Type C: Scholarships for 2 to 6 months duration for short term programmes of study, academic research or professional courses, or training programmes including language
studies.

Fulbright Scholarships
The Cyprus Fulbright Commission serves the academic, educational and professional communities of both Cyprus and the United States, mainly through the exchange of scholars, educators and students.
The Fulbright programs administered through the Cyprus Fulbright Commission are based on priority needs and mutual benefit of the communities involved.
Scholarships offered:
- Fulbright Master’s Scholarships- Awarded since 1962 for Cypriot students to pursue master’s degrees in the U.S. (2 years).
- Fulbright Visiting Scholars- Awarded since 2006 for Cypriot scholars with PhDs or equivalent degrees to lecture or do research at a U.S. university for one semester. For more information please visit the official Fulbright website www.fulbright.org.cy

Commonwealth Scholarships
Commonwealth Scholarships for Cyprus are for PhD study in the UK. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
Subjects of study
All subject areas are eligible, although the CSC’s selection criteria give priority to applications that demonstrate the strongest relevance to development.
You are requested to apply for a course of study at a UK university with which the CSC has a part funding agreement. The list of these universities can be found on the Commonwealth website.
How to apply
All applications must be made through your nominating agency in your home country. You must check with them in the first instance for specific advice on how to make an application and for their own closing date. The CSC cannot accept any direct applications from candidates for these scholarships.
All Commonwealth Scholarship candidates must be nominated by an approved nominating agency and must submit their application form using the Electronic Application System (EAS).For more information on Commonwealth Scholarships in the UK, please visit the CSC website cscuk.dfid.gov.uk.
